The black pirate (1926, 90 min.): An adventurer joins a band of bloodthirsty cutthroats to lead them into a trap and bring them to justice, but things get complicated when the pirates take a noble lady captive.
Captain Kidd (1945, 83 min.): The low-born but conniving Kidd aspires to become a great gentleman. Meanwhile, he arranges the death of anyone who gets in his way, especially anyone who knows of the treasure he buried on a remote shore.
Captain Kidd's kids (1919, 21 min.): Harold Lloyd dreams he is held captive by a gang of female pirates. But who hasn't dreamed that?
Treasure Island (1960, 87 min.): A teleplay from The DuPont show of the month, based on Robert Louis Stevenson's tale.
The dancing pirate (1936, 83 min.): A pirate musical? Sort of. A Boston dancing teacher is shanghaied but escapes into Spanish California, only to be arrested and convicted of being the pirate captain. Can he dance his way off the gallows? From a story by Emma Lindsay Squier.
Shanghaied (1915, 27 min.): The Little Tramp helps a desperate shipowner shanghai a crew for a ship he plans to scuttle for insurance money.
Long John Silver's return to Treasure Island (1954, 104 min.): Long John Silver reunites with Jim Hawkins to find the rest of his missing treasure. Several episodes of the television series The adventures of Long John Silver were edited together to form this film.
The Love Nest (1923, 20 min.): Adrift at sea, Buster Keaton is "rescued" by the ruthless captain of the good ship Love Nest. A parody of Jack London's The Sea Wolf.
The buccaneers (1924, 17 min.): Children have been playing pirates for ages, but things get out of hand when the Our Gang kids go to sea.
The adventures of Long John Silver (1955, 156 min. (disc 4) and 159 min. (disc 5)): Twelve episodes of the TV series, in which the reformed buccaneer (if he is indeed reformed) and Jack Hawkins live in the pirate-infested town of Porto Bello, and their adventures together continue.
